Update: October 8, 2024 - basically gone
October 4, 2024
I have this weird, what I believe to be, an age spot on my forehead. I had thought it was just a sunspot, but then it began to grow. By July 23rd it was about the diameter of a dime, and I was a little concerned, so I took a photo of it, it was getting larger but was still flat on the surface of my skin. By August 26th though, it began to lift off the skin and had weird 'hills and valleys', so I took another picture (this is now after I was informed my mother had skin cancer on her hand that was progressing rapidly, so my head went that direction of course).
I contacted the Dermatologist I had already seen about this spot, but apparently it had been more than two years ago...man time flies...so I had to have another referral sent. I called my family Dr but he's so busy that I couldn't get an appointment with him until end of November. The Dermatologists office contacted me and asked me to get my Dr to fax the referral then we wouldn't have to wait so long. I asked my Dr, and he had no problem with that since we had already dealt with this weird spot before. So, he kindly sent in the referral. The problem I saw was, how long will it take to still get in to see the Dermatologist. Sure, I'll see my Dr in November but god only knows how much this thing will have grown by then. So, I decided to take this into my own hands...I like doing that anyway...you never know what you might figure out on your own.
So, I found a few different bottles of Cannabis products I still had laying around the house. One is a CBD cream, one is a CBD oil, and the other one is THC liquid cream. I started to apply all three to that weird age spot, and by September 29th the spot had raised into a mole shape, so it was taller, but was getting smaller in diameter. I'd gently exfoliate it and pieces of it would come off. I was horrified and excited, horrified by the way it came off because it was sort of gross, but excited that it was leaving my face. The Cannabis products had a burning sensation at times but nothing bad, just a light tingle mostly.
The skin had turned even more weird looking, as seen in the photo from September 29th, but it just kept sloughing off each time I'd wash it. I could feel it in my fingers as I rinsed off my face. Today I have the updated photo, and it looks almost like it's just a small scar. I hope more of it comes off and it all goes away...that would be kind of cool.
I still have no clue as to what this thing is...so I just call it a "weird age spot" ... but whatever it is, Cannabis was able to make it go away, and I am super psyched about it. Again, especially after hearing about mothers' diagnoses of skin cancer, at the same time as I was watching this thing grow. She was able to get in to see a specialist asap and hers is gone now, but I had no clue as to when I was to see anyone about this thing, so I am pretty happy with myself for coming up with this idea...and for Cannabis for doing such an amazingly cool job on something I have, again, no clue as to what it is ... but in just a little over a month of using the topical Cannabis products it is almost just a small bump on my face.
I used all three of these products as topical ointments. The one to the left is to be ingested, but it's old, so I figured I'd use it on my skin instead of letting it go to waste.
