I am super grateful to be able to live on this beautiful farm!!! I am so blessed to be able to walk out my door and be amongst all this absolute beauty every day! I take every opportunity I can do Nature Therapy as this really suits my personality and is a wonderful technique to help with my healing journey.
I try to spend as much time as I can outdoors year-round no matter the weather. The damp and windy days are more difficult to handle as those are triggers for most of my pain, but I still try to be outside even on horrifically painful days. I do a lot of somatic movements and meditating with breathing techniques to help me get centered and release tension in my body. I like to lay on the ground with my bare hands and feet touching the earth so that I can become 'grounded'. I send my Parts off to Play so I can just be my Self and be present and focus on what is in front of me, feel the sun and breeze, hear the birds and frogs, smell all the different wonderful smells the outdoors has to offer. I bring my journal with me as often as possible so I can just sit and write about what comes up during this quite Self time. But for the most part, I just try and enjoy that time alone out back on the farm away from everyone, it's so peaceful and relaxing! I am so very lucky and grateful to have this opportunity any time I want.
Panoramic view of the campsite, over one of the many hayfields towards my own shadow, on a gorgeous sunny, warm day.
